Your Shivagange sunrise adventure begins late at night as you leave Bengaluru and travel towards the sacred hill near Tumakuru.

    Board Vehicle

    Meet your trip coordinator at the designated pickup point and board the vehicle for your journey towards Shivagange. Sit back, relax and get comfortable for the overnight journey.

  2. 4:30 AM

    Early Morning | Arrive at Shivagange Base

    Reach the designated base area and prepare for the trek. After a short briefing from your trek leader, get your headlamp or torch ready and prepare to begin the climb.

    Early Morning | Begin the Trek

    Start your ascent towards the Shivagange summit. The route combines rocky stretches, stone steps and steeper sections as you gradually gain elevation.

    Before Sunrise | Approach the Summit

    As the sky begins to brighten, continue towards the higher sections of the hill. The surrounding landscape slowly comes into view as you near the summit.

    Sunrise | Reach the Summit

    Reach the summit and settle in for the highlight of your Shivagange Sunrise Trek. Enjoy the morning light across the countryside, take photographs and spend some time experiencing the peaceful hilltop surroundings.

    Morning | Explore the Summit

    Explore the spiritual landmarks around the hilltop and take in the surrounding views before beginning the return journey.

    Begin the Descent

    Start your descent with the trek leader. Take care on the rocky and stepped sections as you make your way back towards the base.

    Trek Ends

    Reach the base after completing the trek and take some time to rest and freshen up.

What happens after I book my trek?
Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a booking confirmation. On the day of departure, you will also be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group for the trek, where you will receive the pickup location, reporting time, coordinator details, and other important trip instructions. Please make sure you check the WhatsApp group and arrive at the designated pickup point on time.
Is the trek safe for first-time and solo trekkers?

Yes, trekkers can join as first-time or solo participants. A trek leader will guide the group throughout the trek, and participants are expected to stay with the group and follow the trek leader's instructions and applicable safety guidelines.

Is the trek safe for female travelers?
The safety and security of women travellers are a priority at CompareMyTrip. Female travellers, including solo women, are welcome to participate in our treks and travel experiences. Our trek leaders accompany the group throughout the trek, providing guidance and assistance whenever required. What happens if I am unable to complete the trek?

If you are unable to continue the trek, inform your trek leader immediately. The leader will guide you based on the situation and available options. Please note that completing the entire trek cannot always be guaranteed, and additional expenses arising from an early return or alternative arrangements may be payable separately

What happens if the trek is cancelled due to weather or other conditions?

If the trek needs to be cancelled, postponed or modified due to severe weather, Forest Department restrictions, trail conditions or other circumstances beyond operational control, CompareMyTrip will communicate the available options as per the applicable booking and cancellation policy.

Can I cancel or reschedule my trek after booking?
